The 'schema' part does not serve but to confuse adopt 'node' instead.
This needs a bit more thought. Most notable concern here is that NormalizedNode layout still carries AugmentationIdentifier and similar perversions. We might want to leave those to live out their lives and introduce a parallel replacement – and that replacement will need a nice package to live in.
