Project Pages Migration to Confluence from MediaWiki
OpenDaylight TSC has discussed making the default wiki for the OpenDaylight Project to OpenDaylight Confluence page from ODL Mediawiki during the TSC meetings of January 9 and January 30, 2020. The general consensus was to migrate keeping the old wiki for historical reference.
@Abhijit K has created empty project pages for all the projects at Confluence ODL Projects Home Page.
For a successful migration, projects should copy the content to their project page under Confluence ODL Projects Home Page. At the minimum, projects should ensure that their project's Confluence has a link to their old media wiki project page.
This has been already done for all the active projects.
Example: https://wiki.lfnetworking.org/display/ODL/Genius has a pointer to the https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Genius:Main.
If the mediawiki URL is changed in the future (i.e. in case we point wiki.opendaylight.org to OpenDaylight Confluence page), projects will need to update the link from the Confluence page
Example: https://wiki.lfnetworking.org/display/ODL/Genius may need to update the link for the historical wiki from https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Genius:Main to say https://oldwiki.opendaylight.org/view/Genius:Main.
The current vote is for the TSC to approve the migration in the manner suggested above.
Please note we will not be removing the current project pages at the current wiki (mediawiki) - those will remain for a historical reference.
