Abhijit K

Biography

Abhijit is the current TSC Chair for OpenDaylight. As the OpenDaylight TSC Chair, he has presented OpenDaylight at various conferences including ONS, North America, ONS Europe and Linux Foundation's OSN Networking Day in the Bay Area. He was the project lead for the OpenDaylight OpenFlow plugin project since its inception till the start of the Oxygen release as well as a committer on the TTP project. He was elected to the TSC in both the 2016 and the 2017 committer-at-large TSC elections. During the 2017 TSC term - he came up with and evangelized the idea of calendar based ODL release schedules which is now being implemented in Oxygen and beyond. He is technical lead for Ericsson OpenDaylight efforts and works in the Technology department for Ericsson's Cloud unit. In the past he had been an active member of the Forwarding Abstractions Workgroup (FAWG) at the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) and has contributed to and evangelized the main example table type pattern at the FAWG meetings/ONF member workdays. He has around 20 years of experience in networking software development as well as leading teams toward successful outcomes. Prior to joining Ericsson he led a 100+ person software development team at Blade Network Technologies into a successful integration into IBM via acquisition. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.

Statement of Intent

As a member of the TSC, Abhijit is intending to drive the following issues:

  • Improved usability & consumability of OpenDaylight
    • Improved user as well as developer level documentation 
    • Focus by the TSC to improve the ease of new developer / user on-boarding
    • API stability across releases and supporting design practices
  • Maintain  good release cycles and processes for the ODL simultaneous releases
  • Apply his experiences as the OpenFlow Plugin project lead to facilitate discussions on how to introduce & handle major design changes in key projects with multiple dependencie


Faseela K

Biography

Faseela is a current member of the OpenDaylight TSC, and a Platform Development Engineer at Cisco DNA Center.

Faseela has been a speaker on various SDN, OpenFlow, Containers related topics at forums including OpenNetworkingSummit, MPLS & SDN World Congress, Opendaylight Summit, ODL Forum, OpenSource Summit etc. She has also successfully conducted several workshops based on OpenDaylight at GraceHopper Conference, ODL Forum India etc, with the aim of getting more traction for OpenDaylight among Networking Companies. She has also been visiting universities in India to give presentations on OpenDaylight and inform students about the various opportunities they have in OpenDaylight including internship opportunities.

Venkatrangan Govindarajan

Biography

Venkatrangan is currently a committer to the Opendaylight and a Senior Test Engineer at Lumina Networks.
He has been contributing to Opendaylight since Hydrogen release.The contribution started with the VTN Project (currently archived), and then integration/test, releng/builder and the Netvirt Project.

He has been instrumental in creating the openstack integration test for Opendaylight and also optimize fir reducing test execution times.

Tejas Nevrekar is a Principal Engineer/Manager at Lumina Networks. He has been working on the OpenDaylight controller and applications since its inception - first from IBM and later as a part of Nuviso Networks Inc where he was a Principal Architect for the product portfolio. Prior to this he has spent more than a decade on development/architecture of service assurance and service provisioning for Tier-1/2 service providers from Infosys and Centina Systems (recently acquired by Ciena).

JamO Luhrsen

Biography

Jamo's entire career to date (21 years via Cisco, HP, Red Hat and currently Lumina Networks) has been in the networking industry exclusively in system test and automation. He works remotely from Sacramento, CA. He has been involved as a contributor since the 2nd OpenDaylight release (Helium). He has worked closely as the test lead in several projects including OpenflowPlugin, OVSDB, and Netvirt. He has served as the Integration/Test projects Technical Lead (PTL) since 2015 and served on the TSC since 2016.

Statement of Intent

  • Test automation has always been important to me and I believe it is vital to any software project. As the PTL of Integration/Test I try to help drive high quality automated system test across all OpenDaylight projects which in turn helps deliver a higher quality OpenDaylight release. The top benchmark for deciding release quality resides on the automated tests run by the various OpenDaylight projects and supporting and that process will be a top priority.


Luis Gomez Palacios

Luis Gomez is a Principal Engineer at Lumina Networks. Previously he was a Principal Software Test Engineer in the Open Source Software group at Brocade where he spent 4 years integrating, testing and supporting OpenDaylight in customer solutions, before he was a Solution Integration Engineer at Ericsson where he spent more than a decade integrating and testing service provider networks

Projects

Luis is PTL of integration/distribution and committer in the integration/test, releng/builder, releng/autorelease and docs projects as well as test contact for OpenFlow plugin project. Most of Luis contribution is on test infrastructure and system test for OpenDaylight core components, recent works include common distribution and CSIT for self-managed projects, multi-patch job enhancements and test dashboard for OpenDaylight (ongoing work).

Statement of Intent

My goal for OpenDaylight has always been the same: deliver the quality and usability required for the controller to be broadly consumed and ultimately deployed in production, while fostering projects collaboration and contributors innovation. OpenDaylight has evolved since its start and I believe current users are looking for an stable, flexible and scalable platform they can use to write SDN applications. As a TSC member I would like to work in community matters like: new contributors welcome, lower entry barrier, users technical support, updated documentation, or simpler processes; as well as technical matters like: current platform features and performance competitiveness, integration with new technologies (e.g. kubernetes) or southbound devices interoperability.

Biography

Balaji Varadaraju is a Principal Engineer at Lumina Networks. He has been working on the OpenDaylight controller and applications since Hydrogen release. He has been contributing to NETCONF, RESTCONF and YANGTOOLS projects and is a committer to DAEXIM and upcoming Plastic projects. He has been leading teams that work on various ODL based applications that manage devices from various vendors in large production networks. He has worked in the areas of networking, network management and predictive analytics. Contributed to many usability aspects of NETCONF to drive its adoption in the industry.

Statement of Intent

Passionate about improving the usability aspects of ODL and thus driving its adoption. Very keen about practical considerations and industry requirements and drive those changes. I would also like to improve the documentation of ODL. Another aspect I am very interested in is integration of ODL with modern software stacks.


Anil Shashikumar Belur

Biography

Anil has been working with the Linux Foundation and the OpenDaylight Release management (since 2016). He currently serves as a TSC member, assisting the project/community on the infrastructure, CI, releases, and automation. He currently maintains some of the LF Releng repositories and performs regular release cycles on Global-jjb and LFTools which are used in many LF projects.

He started his career by experimenting with Linux in the late 90's and has been working with Open source over the last two decades. Prior to that he worked with Security Engineering Team in Novell, File systems developer with HP and Systems Engineer with RedHat. He has contributed to MIT Kerberos project integration with LDAP in the past. His interests are in the area of Security & IdM, Networking, Systems engineering, and Deep learning.

Hema is currently PTL of Genius Project. Hema is a Principal Engineer at Ericsson R&D and has been an active participant of Ericsson contributions to the OpenDaylight community. Hema joined OpenDaylight Community in 2013 and has been actively contributing to ODL since its Hydrogen release. Hema started contributing to Openflow plugin project and later moved to Genius. Hema has been a speaker at various OpenNetworkingSummit. She has also conducted tutorials on OpenDaylight in Opendaylight Summit in US and in India.
